The Long History of the LB Municipal Band

This 4th of July will mark the first time that the Long Beach Municipal Band will be playing during a spectacular fireworks show. The band and fireworks will be at Vets Stadium. The program begins at 5pm. Parking is $10 per car.

The band has always been the pride of Long Beach since its earliest days when it was sent around the state to play as advertisement for the City. This is a 1910 photograph of the band at the Orange County Fair.
